Frontline recruitment and workforce management startup Hunar.AI has raised ₹40 crore in a Series A funding round led by Blume Ventures, according to an official corporate announcement made on October 19.
The latest capital infusion elevates the company’s total funding to ₹65 crore to date. The round also saw participation from Hyderabad Angels Fund (HAF.VC), Together Fund, Seedstars, AVNM Ventures, alongside angel investors including PhysicsWallah co-founders Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari, and MediaMint co-founder Aditya Vuchi.
Allocation of Funds and Enterprise Reach The company plans to deploy the proceeds into building specialized AI computing infrastructure, accelerating product development, and expanding sales pipelines aimed at high-turnover enterprise workforces:
-
Founding and Target Sectors: Founded in 2022 by Krishna Khandelwal and Shantanu Bhattacharyya, Hunar.AI automates operations across quick commerce, logistics, e-commerce, mobility, retail, healthcare, and financial services.
-
Enterprise Client Roster: Key corporate clients include Swiggy, Delhivery, Instamart, Pronto, Blue Dart, Flipkart, Aditya Birla Capital, and Tata Croma.
"Frontline workforce management is one of the largest yet most underserved opportunities in enterprise AI. Solving it requires more than applying general-purpose models to existing processes. It demands a deep understanding of industry workflows, multilingual capabilities and technology to execute tasks at scale." — Krishna Khandelwal, Co-founder & CEO, Hunar.AI
Conversational Scale and Product Architecture The platform operates via two primary agentic software suites—Hunar Voice and Hunar Connect—which orchestrate applicant interactions across cellular voice calls, WhatsApp, and chat:
-
Operational Volume: Hunar.AI claimed its AI agents conducted over 15 million candidate and worker conversations in September 2026, with overall engagement volumes doubling quarter-over-quarter.
-
Linguistic Coverage: The engine supports more than 20 languages (including Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu), eliminating manual call center bottlenecks across screening, interview scheduling, document collection, training delivery, and retention surveys.
-
Outcome-Based Monetization: In addition to per-seat SaaS subscription pricing, the startup is transitioning toward business-outcome pricing models tied directly to fulfilled hiring milestones and operational retention metrics.
